Hey there! An update for anyone who is wondering why I have gone MIA. Some of you may know that for the last 10 months I have been working very hard in my role as the Social Media Manager for Nine West Australia. Firstly, I must say it is the best job ever! Basically what I was doing on the Ashas Little Secret Blog, I am now doing as a full time job! At Nine West, I am the blogger for the brand. I do their modelling and styling for photo shoots on a weekly basis. So here is where I re-direct you! If you want to see more of my style please head to the Nine West blog or our social media accounts. I would love the support! xxx
What's my little secret? Clothes!! Nothing else gives me more of a kick than finding a perfect garment for a great price. I love the hunt, the bargain searching, finding ‘the look’ for the season. As a young professional this little secret has been carried out on a very tight budget. Another one of my coverts….it may look expensive but it wasn’t. Im sharing my findings and little gems on here. I hope I can help other ladies find some little secrets of their own!

STRIPES AND BRIGHTS
So excited to be back working with photographer Josie Withers! Watch this space for more shoots photographed by her, featuring Nine West product and my styling. A whole heap of gorgeous red product has landed in store and I had the pleasure of shooting it. I teamed the bag and heels back with nautical stripes with this structured dress. I think it really helped make the colours pop which is exactly what you want with a show stopper red like this. I picked this dress up for only $40 at a little boutique on Toorak Rd. It closely "resembles" (okay it's a copy) a dress that was worn by Beyonce. Yes Queen B, not your typical fierce/bootylicious dress but with it's sharp lines and feminine shape it does make you feel pretty spesh. And for that price tag I'm singing "Irreplaceable"...Until the next little bargain is found ;)

Me again! So I didn't lie in my earlier post, the blog is back! I just needed to figure out how I was going to juggle it with with my new job. Oh hey! So I'm not dead, but I have had a bit of break from the world of blogging. Last year I found myself in a place where the blog was feeling more like a chore than a passion, but I've burst that depresso bubble and in 2014 I'm bringing the blog back! So here's my first look for the year! I was inspired to share some new bargain finds by the new Trade Secret store at the Spencer Outlet Centre. I found some treasures with these pumps and blazer. Trade Secret has a heap of my favourite brands at up to 60% off. They deal direct with designers to bring incredible deals. It's safe to stay with secrets in common, myself and this new store will become very good friends! So I'm super excited of the year ahead, I'm marking it as my year for change and so far it's been pretty eventful...I've landed a new job! Details TBA...Just watch this space :)

MIRROR IMAGE EGAMI RORRIM
Josh Goot dress, ZARA heels, Karen Walker Eyewear, Jolie & Deen necklace and bracelet and 3.1 Phillip Lim clutch.
Photographer: Liz Mcleish of Street Smith
Another dream wardrobe shoot with Street Smith. How ridiculously amazing is this Josh Goot number. The mirror image print is the perfect statement and the fit has an ultra modern tulip shape creating a fresh silhouette. As the weather warms up, dresses are on my agenda and with races around the corner I've got my eye on a few. Loving structured clean shapes, bold prints and lace detail....And now just have to make it till pay day.....Heres to canned tuna for the rest of the week!

BEHIND THE SCENES AT LMFF
L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival....What a week! 6am starts and 10pm finishes, mad rush outfit changes and naked male models - last week had it all!
With my work for Westfield Doncaster, who are a major partner of LMFF, I had a behind the scenes and front row experience at this years Fashion Festival. Westfield Doncaster launched AW13 with a killer campaign partnering with fashion hero, Candice Lake. In case you need a quick fill in, Candice Lake is an ex model turned photographer/blogger. She works with the big international guys including vogue. Basically she is a major Australian fashion export. On behalf of Westfield Doncaster she photographed a street-style fashion shoot of 10 key style influencers. With the likes of Rebecca Judd, Sam Harris and blogger Jess Dempsey it was a star studded affair. And geez can she shoot, she really captures the energy of each individual. You can check out the pics on the website or at the fabulous exhibition in centre at Westfield Doncaster. The second part of Candice's work with Westfield was the creation of the video Fashion Lust. You can check it below. The video was styled by Christine Centenera and launched on Vogue.com. Okay promise I'm done with the name dropping now but I hope I have convinced you of how good this campaign is! It was so unconventional and edgy for a shopping centre and I was very privileged to be involved. It was amazing seeing it all unfold from the fashion shoot on on the streets of Melbourne to the media snapping launch at LMFF. Highlight was definitely getting some 1-2-1 time while Candice was shooting, tres inspirational yet so grounded at the same time. Second best would have to be the Westfield hunks, haha the picture says it all. Hope you enjoy the look on the inside. LMFF outfits to be posted soon!

EASY TIGER
Dotti leather peplum top $59
i.d.s leopard pants $44
Dotti clutch $35
Bali cuff $15
Dotti necklace $19
Rubi sample pump heels $5
Photography: Josie Withers
Statement on a budget. How amazeballs are these pants? Love how the animal print is enlarged on the sides it gives a real 3D feel to the print. You wouldn't expect this point of detail on pair under $50. This leather look peplum is a staple for me this summer. The leather look edges up any outfit and you've heard me rave on about the smartness of the peplum shape already. Not sure how boy friendly this outfit is though...feeling a little like the man repeller. But hey we dress for chicks not the pricks dont we ladies! So to the dude I passed on the way to this shoot with the smart arse comment, thanks for giving me the title for this post!

FLORALS? FOR SPRING? GROUND BREAKING....
Bec & Bridge jade singlet and floral trousers
Photography: Liz McLeish
Second look from the new works with Street Smith! We shot Bec & Bridge this time. Amazing high-end Aussie brand with a realistic price tag too. They have a great rep and are known for their amazing little dresses, perfect for statement night outs. This outfit is all about the floral pants. A absolute staple look this year. I hope all you Devil Wears Prada fans can pick the quote title! Haha the icey cold Miranda has wise words sometimes but I dont think any of the designers listened to her this season. Oh wait, im talking about a movie character, im sure Ms Wintour is partial to a floral! I know I am :)

SOMETHING BORROWED SOMETHING NEW
Josh Goot vest, Mania Mania jewellery, Karen Walker eyewear and Zara heels.
Photography: Liz McLeish from Street Smith blog
Good things come from new adventures, say hello to a new collaboration between My Little Secret and Street Smith. This amazing opportunity has opened me to an array of new options for blogging. A side project in which budgets don't exist and price tags are ignored, simply style and design can prevail. God it felt good to be top to toe in designer labels and in Josh Goot to say the least, words don't describe the feeling. He has really ruled the playground this season, with signature abstract floral prints and a untouchable cult following. So to be actually dressed in the flesh in these garments, instead of just gazing at them through the glass windows of a high-end boutique or on the pages of a glossy Vogue, was a unforgettable experience. Dont worry my price-pointed roots wont be going anywhere (rent and bills wont let that happen either), but Im looking forward to a new concept in which I wont be as restricted and can explore this creative designer world. Simply ecstatic that Liz McLeish from Street Smith invited me to work on this new chapter and I hope you can enjoy another side of My Little Secret too.
